World Press Photo Exhibition 2021

Ein besonderes Jahr: Mit Mads Nissen konnten wir erstmals einen Sieger im Wettbewerb um das Pressefoto des Jahres zum zweiten Mal begrüßen. Der dänische Fotograf, der bereits zur Premiere 2016 in Oldenburg war, siegte mit einer eindrucksvollen Aufnahme aus dem von Corona geplagten Brasilien. Sein emotionaler Auftritt bei der Eröffnung ist vielen Besucher:innen sehr positiv in Erinnerung geblieben. Darüber hinaus war auch dieses Jahr von der Pandemie geprägt – was sich leider auch auf die Besuchszahlen der Ausstellung und des Rahmenprogramms auswirkte.
